Membership in the Military Officers Association of America – Houston Area Chapter is open to active duty, former, retired and National Guard and reserve commissioned and warrant officers of the eight U.S. uniformed services and their surviving spouses. The eight services are:
- U.S. Army
- U.S. Marine Corps
- U.S. Navy
- U.S. Air Force
- U.S. Space Force
- U.S. Coast Guard
- U.S. PHS Commissioned Corps
- NOAA Commissioned Officer Corps
Benefits of Membership
Joining the Houston Area Chapter offers a new way to engage with the local community and to meet, collaborate and socialize with fellow service members. Additionally, as part of the Texas Council of Chapters (TCC), we can work toward state and local reform on issues important to our members, but outside the national scope.
Our chapter provides critical grassroots support as MOAA works at the national level to preserve benefits important to its members. As a member of the Houston Chapter, we are ambassadors to the area’s military community by supporting programs that make a difference in the lives of others that have served the nation. Membership in the Houston Area Chapter also presents a number of opportunities to meet, in a social setting, other members of the area’s military community. These include monthly member luncheons, featuring a wide variety of guest speakers, to programs honoring veterans and social functions celebrating the military’s contributions to the nation.
